The news in New Amsterdam

Some interesting NYC tidbits I came across this weekend:
* Could the secret behind a great slice be found in the city's water supply?
* When public works meet pixels, you get awesomeness.
* New Yorkers' love/hate relationship with the outdoors. "And you thought you had problems."

Hey, I saw that pixel art on NotCot over the weekend. Did you get a chance to see it in person?

@Rene – Funny thing. I saw it in my contacts' photostream about 10 days ago. Bookmarked it thinking "wow, I need to toss this on the noob"; soon thereafter forgetting about the link until I ran across it today. It now has over 150K views!! The Gothamist also posted a short article about it. Have yet to see it in person. Yet.

I was toying with the idea of going out there today to check it out but the weather is not so good in NYC. It's also responsible for squashing my plans of seeing some Batman promotion going on @ Bryant Park.

I don't know if you've guys managed to make it out of Boston for great slices of Pizza but if you ever get a chance head out to Randolph on the South Shore. There's a place called Linwoods with the best bar pizza in the country. What makes it different? The crust….which can only be credited to Randolph's drinking water.
