The music sounds very, very similar to some of the stuff by Pink Floyd*…only, err, Icelandic of course!

Sigur Ros is amazing. I still have yet to go to their concert though. It's supposed to be incredible. I think that will be one of my life goals: to go to a Sigur Ros concert.

Never heard of them, but it looked superb, and sounded fabulouse!

These guys are prob one the best bands on the planet.

Saw them in NYC a few years back and once in Atlantic City, NJ sometime after.

Not only is Sigur Ros awesome – so is their opening band they bring to all their shows – Amina, an all female band that acts as Sigur Ros's "backing" band during the Sigur Ros set. They're set was pretty unreal as well.

I think both bands were in awe/appreciation of the love NYC gave them…but its so deserved…for both bands.

ps. go to iceland when ya can…it's amazing. airwaves fest is a good time to go because the place is electrified by all the people coming into town for the music festival. great people, amazing country.

The world needs more posters promoting awesome things, like this awesome band that I hadn't heard of.

I saw them last year, and it was an almost indescribable experience. so good.

i'm working on finding out when the release date is. i have a friend who works at emi (they're distributing it in the states) who said she's working on finding out also.

and by the way, amiina is going on a us tour here really soon.

Sigur Ros certainly has a sound you don't here everyday – and that's in a good way – I can only take so much mainstream audio doodoo….
