(mt) Seven

Our friends, dotcomrades, and hosting gurus over at (mt) Media Temple have just launched version 7 of MediaTemple.net. Now only wishing we had more stuff to host. Really gotta get a server with fire inside. Kudos to Ryan G and gang. Very sexy work boys!

I got excited at the prospect of a new design for the Account Center – especially when I seen the login screen had changed. Alas, it is t'old version. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's nice as it is.

They have been slowly releasing design changes, I guess this completes it!

Hi,

I noticed that your site has some bugs when view'd in IE. The header is shifted and the hover border for the big image on the index page isn't working properly.

Also only the top half of the text in the green bubble is seen.

Cheers.

PS. I don't usually use IE.

I've never been impressed with the dv line. It has always felt bloated to me, and I don't really get the idea of a managed software VPS. I can get a comparable VPS for less than half the price, install what I want, and have it burn the pants off of a similar MT server. Also, the fact that you can only scale a box to 1GB is meh. It's nice to have Plesk if you are a reseller, but that is not my bag. Also, the BW allowances are generous, but chances are your server would be getting the shit kicked out of it if you ever got close to them.

Hmmm. $750 a month seems steep….
