Kiva: Loans that change lives

Alongside the launch of the new Virb, I've been working on reviving our Do Good + Look Good project. This weekend, I received an email from a dotcomrade with a few organizations she'd like to recommend. Kiva was one of them. The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't remember why...

Tonite, it finally hit me! Authentic Jobs (in which The Noob is a partner) is a Kiva Lender and currently donates a portion of its monthly revenue to the organization. The world is such a small place. Great work Cameron!

"Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world."

This is could be another cool org for do good look good

http://www.hoopsofhope.org/index.php

A kid at my church started it when he was 9 years old, and has since built a school and medical lab in Africa.

Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org) is a site that could use some help. It's not bad, but it could be better. My late great-great-great grandfather served in World War I and before he passed away he's always talked about ho important DAV was and how much they helped him.
