HBO DVDs on the cheap

If you are a fan of HBO's shows (past and present) and are, too, a fan of saving money, Best Buy has a phenomenal sale going on. HBO Series DVDs for up to 60% off. Yeppers! Six Feet Under for $20, Deadwood for $33, Flight of the Conchords $10.79, and more... This is killing my credit card.

P.S. The complete 5-season series of Six Feet Under. 99 Bucks. Umm. That's MUCH less than half price. :)

I just ordered from Best Buy last night. I didn't realize that it was all HBO shows, I actually thought it was just The Wire since that was the only thing I looked at. I needed to pick up a season that was missing from my collection. This seems like as good a time as any to start a new series. I just need to decide: Deadwood, Oz, Carnivale…

Brad, I can not say enough good things about The Wire. I know being from Baltimore skews my opinion but it is an excellent show. You should give it a chance if you haven't yet. It is so much more than the normal police drama. I would say that I could mail you up the first season for you to give it a try but with the prices it doesn't seem worth it.

@Nick – I finished up Carnivale about 3 months ago and jumped immediately into Deadwood, which I completed this past weekend. Deadwood: Phenomenal. Carnivale: Awesome, but HBO cancelled it without the option for a finale, so be prepared to be left hanging.

As for The Wire, I'll Netflix that bad boy as soon as I finish up my next endeavor. Dexter. ;)

Is the a Carnivale book that completes the story line? Talk about a dick tease.

No one likes Entourage or what? Possibly my favorite show.

I would have gotten Entourage if they had the First Season. It's the only one I haven't seen.

I was really into Carnivale when we still had HBO. Then our cable company jacked up the rates and I got rid of it. Only got through the first season and a half, but that was probably one of the best and most original shows I've seen on television… Besides Lost of course.

I have to go now… Best Buy gift card burning a hole in my pocket.
