Back To The Future is History

I've been slightly obsessed with the Back To The Future trilogy since the first chapter was penned in 1985. After hearing that Universal was about to discontinue the boxed trilogy, I jumped into research mode. It seems that Amazon is selling the entire Back To The Future Trilogy (widescreen) for $13.49! Yep, you heard me right. That's $4.50 per movie. I won't loan you the Delorean to go back and correct your mistake either, so buy it now!

Zowie! Surely it's on VHS for that price!

I am enjoying these posts far too much.

Brad, you and Matt should join forces to produce a bargain blog.

Beware that the formatting could still be faulty. Two reviewers said that it's not in fact widescreen but pan & scan with superimposed black bars above and beyond the center of the picture.

@Kory: Umm. Not VHS. Did you even click the link?! :)
@Nick: …and The Big Bargain was born. Or something like that. Maybe.
@Rene: Those comments are from 2002. Universal fixed this problem in the summer of '03. Trust me… That's what I meant by "slightly obsessed".

Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't buy this boxset, he'd melt my brain.

He's She's got a point, Nick! I live by my Bargainist RSS feed. Made some black friday purchases simply because of their amazing sleuth work.

The Bargainist is from the amazing people at Zombie Corp that also bless my life with Uncrate. Booyah.

Back To The Future is a freakin' awesome trilogy of movies. So is there any debate to which one of the three was the better? Personally I'm going for the first which only just shades the second in my opinion.

Uncrate is a great site, but everything on there is expensive.

Back to the Future was and is probably one of the coolest trilogies ever made. To prove our frenzy… While I was in the US I bought the DVDset, while meantime my brother in Belgium bought the same box.

I'm sure I'm only repeating what other people have said but the movie merits it. Back to the Future is one of the most amazing trilogies ever made. I think a cable channel aired it some time a few months back and I still feel like the whole concept is brand new. The boxed set is certainly a fantastic deal but I went over to Amazon and read a few reviews. Reportedly, there's something going on with the matte Universal did. It's not such a big deal and DVD's can be replaced.
