A Modern Promise

Say what you will about Jakob Lodwick—the dude knows how to promote music. Look at this gorgeous page for "A Modern Promise" by Francis and the Lights, the inaugural release on his new music company Normative. The execution and layout is deceptively simple. And that video is breathtaking; as the Futon said, the last 20 seconds is absolute gold.

Yeah, love the music and especially love the whole video. I also love the simplicity of the whole site: from one page you can view a music video, stream the entire album, and make 1-click purchases of the music in high-quality formats – awesomeness.

See Justin Ouellette's post for the juicy details. He designed and built it.

I haven't stopped listening to this since Futon linked to it yesterday. Bon Iver was the last record to really grab me like this. Blown away.

@ Travis:

Lil' Wayne was the last record to grab me like this.

That is a sweet video, especially the end.
